The Tour Takes Off!

The theme of Pioneer’s new camp Discover is Pioneer Tours and consequently the campers are getting a first taste of Pioneer, tourist style.

With the Pioneer tourist agency and the junior tour guides (cabin leaders) the campers have had a hot dog dinner around the camp fire, sang songs in the beautiful chapel glen and have embarked on a canoe and Kayaking adventure in the sparkling waters of the ocean.

Before the campers were able to go out on the sea however, they had to endure the infamous Pioneer cold water swim test on Tuesday. At the count of three, all the campers and the junior tour guides leaped off of the dock into the chilly ocean. Thankfully the swim wasn’t too long and everyone was hauled out of the ocean, exhilarated and ready to go warm up.

Meanwhile, the LITs continue to do intensive inductive bible study and explore what it means to be a leader while taking turns in the dish pit.
