Important Information for Parents and Campers

Pioneer Pacific is one of eight Pioneer Camps in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. Each are non-profit, recreational camps owned and operated by Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, an interdenominational mission mobilizing Christians to declare Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. We welcome you to Pioneer Pacific Camp! Thank you for the privilege of having your children, grand-children and families at Pioneer Pacific. Whether you're a new camper or family or this is your tenth time with us, our hope is that this summer will be full of fun, new challenges, old and new friends, and great memories!

  • Camper Safety & Supervision
  • Medical staff at all camps (doctor or nurse)
  • Cabin ratio: 6-8 campers to one leader
  • Overall ratio: 3 campers to one leader
  • Cabin leaders are at least 18 years of age and serve as positive Christian role models
  • Healthy & nutritious meals (we do cater to special diets)
  • All activities supervised ( sailing,canoeing, kayaking, water-skiing/wakeboarding, tubing,water-trampoline, swimming pool,  Mt. Bike Park, archery, arts & crafts, wide-games, field games, ropes course, frisbee golf course, beach volleyball, soccer,  basketball, snorkeling, beach combing, ecology exploration, cliff jumping,  out-trips/wilderness camping, fishing and more!!)
  • Age appropriate Bible studies and discussions
  • Varied evening programs from wide games to talent night

Travel Information To and From Camp

TSAWWASSEN- "The Pioneer Way"  $63  round trip

Camper Drop Off - Sunday
Campers should arrive at the Tsawwassen ferry terminal by 9:15 am.
Please send a packed lunch with camper for the ferry ride.
Camper Pick Up - Saturday
Parents should arrive at the Tsawwassen ferry terminal 2:45 pm to meet their camper. Packed lunch provided for camper.

CHEMAINUS- $18.90 round trip

Camper Drop Off - Sunday
Campers should arrive at the Chemainus ferry terminal by 1:15 pm.
Camper Pick Up - Saturday
Parents should arrive at the Chemainus ferry terminal at 10:55 am to meet their camper.

Other (Self Transportation)

Camper Drop Off - Sundays
Camper should arrive at camp (Thetis Island) around 2:30 pm - 3:00 pm.
Camper Pick Up - Saturday
Camper should be picked up at camp (Thetis Island) around 9:00 am -9:30 am.
